Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has become a necessity for media workers when covering a variety of stories, be it war, civil unrest, natural disasters or gang crime. Identifying what PPE is necessary for each type of assignment is crucial to help reduce the chances of being harmed while on assignment.

HP Risk Management recently produced a PPE guide on behalf of The Committee to Protect Journalists, in which we highlight the various grades and safe use of a variety of items, including protective body vests, protective headwear, eye protection, respiratory protection and ear protection (amongst others).
